Autism & Asperger Syndrome
Autism is like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. An individual with autism experiences the world through a different lens. Simple social interactions, such as engaging in small talk or sustaining eye contact which many find intuitive, can pose difficulties for individuals with autism. These challenges often contribute to feelings of being misunderstood or isolated.
Autism, or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by a range of challenges in social interaction, communication, and repetitive behaviours. It is believed to have both genetic and environmental factors contributing to its development.

However, the strengths of autism such as attention to detail, specialised knowledge and expertise, and innovative thinking can be valuable assets that enable individuals with autism to not only blend with society but also contribute positively to their communities in various ways.
By providing support and accommodations that honour the unique strengths and abilities, individuals with autism can lead a meaningful life.
